The attack on foreign nationals living in South Africa by indigenous people continues as a number of African nations, including Ghana and Nigeria, have started evacuating their nationals.

Despite cautions by the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, and his government for citizens to desist from the attacks, South Africans continue the act and are even taking over the businesses of foreign nationals they have managed to scare off.

A video shared by a South African national, Moreboys Munetsie, which was shared a few days ago, showed the moment a group of women took over a salon reportedly owned by a Ghanaian.

The video showed the South African women rejoicing as they broke into the salon, which is located at Empangeni, a town in KwaZulu-Natal.

The women could be seen singing and hugging each other after entering the salon.

The man who shared the video indicated that not only were they taking over shops of foreign nationals, they were also taking their documents and other personal belongings.

“Citizens are continuing taking salons by force from foreigners. This happened today in Empangeni. They also grabbed people's documents, including their phones and handbags.”
