According to the assemblyman, some nurses admired the baby and described the child as beautiful
The Assembly Member for the Kito Electoral Area in Salaga, Thomas Gyando, has narrated the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a newborn baby at the Salaga Municipal Hospital, raising concerns over comments allegedly made by a nurse shortly before the child went missing.
Speaking on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem, Gyando said the baby's mother was informed after delivery that both she and the newborn were in stable condition.
According to him, some nurses admired the baby and described the child as beautiful, with one nurse allegedly joking that the mother should give the baby to her.

"The nurses told the mother the baby is really beautiful and one of them jokingly asked that the mother should give the baby to her," adomonline.com quoted him as saying.
Gyando said concerns began to mount when the family repeatedly requested to see the baby but were denied access by hospital staff.
He explained that the child's father was continually sent on errands and was prevented from seeing the newborn each time he returned.
"Later, they came to tell him that the baby was nowhere to be found," he stated.
The assembly member disclosed that the police have since been informed and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the child.
He noted that despite ongoing investigations, the family is yet to receive answers regarding the whereabouts of the baby.
"We are looking for our child, not just any child," Gyando stressed. "If they bring a baby, we will insist on full medical tests to confirm it is indeed ours."
