  What is the meaning of child labor? You see kids in movies with grown up over here in the west. What's that? Oh that's their talents. Isn't it ? Michael Jackson and his siblings started making money at a very young age. He (Michael) was just 5 years. Yes, I agree that every child MUST go to school but we should not follow everything the west tells us. Because they're doing the exact opposite what they're telling us. I have been here in the west for almost 30 years so I know them quite a bit. Some of us used to go to farm with our parents and grandparents and that prepared us to overcome lots of challenges in life. Our kids are lazy nowadays because we don't let them do anything.

  This was a very good and insightful program. However, I would respectfully like to clarify some points that may have created a misunderstanding about the culture and traditions of Northern Ghana.
  
  Northern Ghana predominantly practices a patrilineal system, not a system where women are treated as property or "bought" through marriage.
  
  Family lands are generally held in trust for the extended family and passed down through generations, rather than belonging to a single individual.
  
  Women who marry into a family are regarded as full members of that family and play an important role in its growth, stability, and development.
  
  Therefore, any suggestion that women are purchased through marriage does not accurately reflect the values and traditions of many Northern Ghanaian communities.
  
  It is also important to note that small-scale farming is not limited to women.
  
  Both men and women, whether educated or not, actively participate in farming and other agricultural activities.
  
  In many communities, cooperative labor systems exist where people assist one another by working collectively on farms and community projects.
  
  The strong family structure in Northern Ghana has historically contributed to stable marriages and strong social support systems. Thus the low level divoice rates in the south.
  
  Women are respected members of their families and communities, and they retain personal dignity and freedom.
  
  While cultural practices may differ from one area to another, it is important that discussions about Northern Ghana are presented accurately and with proper context.
  
  I appreciate the program and the opportunity it created for dialogue.
  
  My comments are simply intended to provide a balanced perspective and to ensure that the rich cultural traditions of Northern Ghana are represented fairly and accurately.
