I drive through the Cape Coast (UCC) -Elmina to Takoradi & the beach side has turned into beer bar & prostitution joint which is serious.
For God sake that place is a Highway I mean Ecowas road & the state/police is not doing anything about it.
I hear they called it Florida.Florida indeed!!!
The state must clear all the Bars & prosecute those who sold that land.
Is that place an extension of UCC faculty?Very soon the times that will happen there it will be beyond the control of the town called Ghana

In June 2002, i graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a Bachelor of Commerce degree Honors. That year, the University lost four final year graduating students when they got drowned after a party by the beach when they were taking memorable photographs. They were members of one of the students Christian fellowships. News about the incident went viral but the identity of the students were not disclosed. Parents, as well as the university community got panicked. Some parents who could not establish contact with their wards travelled to the campus to check on their children. It took sometime before the University issued a press release confirming the incident and naming the students who perished in the disaster. My parents , and siblings never came to look for me nor reached out with a phone. Sooner than later, I went through discharge and graduating formalities and went home. Dad and all my siblings welcomed me and congratulated me for successfully completing my programe. Later in the day, my Dad's friend whose son was also a student at the University of Cape Coast visited our home and as soon as this man set eyes on me, he shook my hands, hugged me, patted my back and congartulated me. He then said to me " my daughter, continue being who you are. I am so proud of you, and i hope my daughter would look up to you and learn from you. During the drawning disaster at cape coast, i came to your dad requesting that we travel to cape coast to check on the two of you. Your parents told me they were not going to cape coast since the disaster was a drowning incident. Mary leaves home with a purpose and will never go to the beach for anythinhg. In the unlikely circumstances that she will go to the beach, she will call and tell us where and why she was going to the beach and will call us back upon return. We trust believe in our girl and are not worried at all". That was the narration from my Dad's friend. Dad, and Mom never reached out because they knew their girl so well and knew i will never stray from a task without alerting them. A level 200 left campus to meet a rich young guy and got murdered. Her lifeless body was found at the beach. What is the mystery? What training are we giving to our kids at home? What bond are we creating with our kinds, such that kids become friends, and confidants and unafraid of confiding in them. We grew up with the courtesy code that " dont bring anything we did not give you from home to home. Anything that enters this house must be acknowledged by parents and sibbling or you risk being punished if the object was found before explanation" . Today, i am a proud mother of three beautiful girls. My parents have passed but the impact they made in my life still lingers on, and i am pssing on to my kids. I was so blessed to have gad my parents who tought us contentment. I got married as a virgin, contented, and fulfilled. May the soul of this girl rest in peace!

But check the explicit and offensive display of her body on the net.Lacking sophistication and good taste. .Perhaps I expect my kind of Judeo Christian virtuous behavior from a tertiary student.I learned that Judeo Christian morality is extinct since Akuffo ADDO refused to sign LGBT BILL and the subsequent announcement by the current President that LGBT is not a priority.None of her family members saw any of her vulgar display to discourage her. Parents and family shine your eyes.That doesn’t mean she should be murdered.
