I think it will depend on whether the person is active and actually playing well or not. Age is not necessarily the issue but whether you are currently playing well or not.
When you don't have better options, you are forced to stick with old tired players. You move on when you have options. Partey, Inaki, Djiku, and Jordan, your days are numbered.
