The strategy is to delay the case as much as they can till Wontumi becomes NPP national chairman and hope for NPP win in 2028 then get Presidential pardon. It just that when Lawyer Andy went to the Appeal court to continue his no case to answer appeal, and found out from the registrar that, the case has not been transmitted to the registrar mpo. Of course it’s possible Wontumi will be sentenced to jail but will not actually spend time in jail as they will immediately appeal the verdict. The whole gamble is the timing of filing appeals .

Who conferred the NDC communicator status on him at all. He looks more like an attention seeker. He was talking about legal strategy but failed all his legal strategic examinations and had to resit. He should thank God that someone helped him to complete his law course.

You, Mr. Dzimega, are a disappointment to the class of logically endowed people in Ghana. I do not know if it's your failure to express your thoughts in English or because you simply did not have anything sensible to offer relative to the Wontumi case but wanted free media exposure for the garbage you spewed.

If the case by the government was flawed then a defense counsel worth a dime should have made minced meat out of the case and come out on top.

The best explanation and analogy I can give you, Mr. Dzimega and readers about the Wontumi case is this:

When a landlord rents out/leases a house or apartment unit to a renter any damage done to the house or apartment falls on the renter. If the renter hires an electrician to install an A/C or a carpenter to build a new entertaiment shelving and there happens to be accidental or intentional damage to the house or apartment it is the renter the landlord can take to court or file charges against and not the person hired by the renter.

All the government knows is that it leased a government site to Wontumi and Akonta mining. Anyone engaged in activities on the site not approved by government provides reason for government to bring charges against Wontumi especially when it has been established that Wontumi knew the person or hired person to perform services for Akonya mining. Case closed.
