Ghana’s leading businesses and corporate executives will come under the spotlight later this month as the fourth edition of the Ghana Business League Awards (GBLA) seeks to recognize excellence, innovation and leadership across key sectors of the economy.

The awards ceremony, organized by Maven Communications in partnership with Zeliatte Media with support from Africaworks, is scheduled for June 27, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra and is expected to attract a gathering of senior executives, policymakers, industry leaders and members of the diplomatic community.

Positioned as one of Ghana’s foremost business recognition platforms, the Ghana Business League Awards celebrates outstanding achievements in the manufacturing, supply and service industries while promoting innovation, competitiveness and sustainable business practices.

Organisers say the awards go beyond recognition by providing companies with a platform to enhance brand visibility, strengthen stakeholder confidence and benchmark their performance against industry leaders.

The event is expected to feature high-level participation from both government and the private sector.

Dignitaries anticipated to attend include Energy and Green Transition Minister John Abdulai Jinapor, Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda Ocloo, Trade and Agribusiness Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie.

Other expected guests include Andrew Akoto, Country Managing Partner of KPMG Ghana, Mary Asare-Yeboah, President of the Institute of Directors-Ghana, Ghana Free Zones Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mary Awusi, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre Chief Executive Officer Simon Madjie and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Over the years, the awards have recognized a broad range of businesses for their contributions to economic growth and industry development. Previous winners include Letshego Ghana Savings and Loans PLC, Olam Agri Ghana Limited, Guaranty Trust Bank Ghana, B5 Plus Limited, Tang Palace Hotel, AgroCrown West Africa Company Limited and Everpack Ghana Limited.

The awards scheme has also honored outstanding business leaders and entrepreneurs across sectors including manufacturing, agribusiness, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, fintech and fast-moving consumer goods.

Past individual award recipients include Frank Adjei Mensah of LESFAM Industries Limited, Baibhav Biswas of Olam Agri Ghana Limited, Gopal Vasu of M&G Pharmaceuticals and Professor Sampson Effah Apraku of Samara Group Ghana.

As Ghana’s private sector continues to navigate changing market conditions and emerging growth opportunities, the awards are expected to highlight companies and executives whose leadership, innovation and operational excellence are helping shape the country’s business landscape.

With preparations underway for the event, organizers say GBLA 2026 will once again serve as a platform for celebrating corporate achievement while encouraging businesses to pursue higher standards of performance, innovation and industry leadership.
