Don't mind that fool Kpebu who thinks he knows everything. He knows very well that Akuffo Addo and the former CHJ are not related, but doing politics aims usual to make Mahama look good. And what was shocking about her appointment in the first place? Absolutely not at all because the President had no other options to choose from. Having a former CJ on the Council of State is a binding Constitutional requirement the president couldn't do anything about it.
Currently, if I m not mistaken Ghana has 3 retired CJs and all of them are NPP APPOINTEE
1. GEORGINA WOOD who is now about 79 years and served 8 years on the council during Nana Addo's administration was not an option.
2. Anim Yeboa whom NDC hate so much was also certainly not an option
3. Sophia Akuffo though was appointed by NPP administration but seems as fair minded and therefore was more or less the only option JM had.
So Martin stop your lies because J M had no option than to give it to her.
I am very sure NDC and the presidency have huge headache, that why when she submitted her resignation in September they tried convincing her to rescind her decision
Now the only available options for the president are Georgina Wood or Anin Yeboa as the only surviving for CJ's. You see i have not mentioned Torkonoo because technically, she cannot be described as for CJ because she was sacked.
Or the president can can wait tell the current CJ retires on 26th December this year, then he could replace Sophia Akuffo in the new year.
