Community toilet damaged by storm
Various parts of the country in the last couple of weeks have experienced severe rains, leading to flooding in some cases, which has left hundreds of residents losing property and also being rendered homeless.
Though the same is the case for Achimfo near Enchi in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region, a single situation left residents with mixed reactions, which could be a story for generations to be told.
The only community toilet facility in Achimfo was seen floating on the floodwaters soon after a heavy downpour pulled down several structures in the area.
In the unfolding drama, according to residents, the wall of the facility had caved in as a result of the torrential rains. The roof and wood used to barricade some portion of the structure were seen floating on the water to an unknown location.
Residents were heard screaming for help and asking the men to save the structure from being washed away.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned of more rains in the coming weeks and advised residents to read updates on their platforms to be abreast with happenings in the country.
