IMANI Africa President Franklin Cudjoe has called for greater clarity regarding the health condition of former MASLOC CEO Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu following reports that she has returned to Ghana and is under house arrest.

His comments come after news emerged that Sedina, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison, arrived in the country last week.

In a social media post, Cudjoe said the public deserves accurate information about her condition, including the nature of the illness and the treatment required.

“I understand Madam Sedina Tamakloe is unwell and currently under house arrest. To clarify, what is the exact diagnosis?” he asked.

He also questioned whether the reported condition is recent or linked to an existing medical history.

“Is this a freshly acquired condition, or does she have a relevant medical history?” Cudjoe wrote.

According to him, there should be a clear understanding of the cause of her health challenges and whether the necessary treatment can be provided in Ghana or requires medical attention abroad.

“We need clarity on the root cause of her health issues and a definitive understanding of the correct treatment plan, whether it is available locally or must be sought abroad,” he stated.

While acknowledging that some people may prefer that details of her illness remain private, Cudjoe argued that transparency is important to avoid speculation and misinformation.

“While some may disagree with making her ailment publicly known, we cannot afford any surprises. Certainly not unfounded tales. We need her alive,” he added.
