CCTV captures woman allegedly stealing money at a guest house

CCTV footage has captured a woman allegedly taking money from the reception area of a guest house in Accra after she was briefly left unattended to.

In the video shared on social media by CDR Africa on June 19, 2026, the woman is seen standing at the reception desk engaging in a brief conversation with a female staff member of the guest house.

The caption accompanying the post stated, "CCTV footage has captured a woman allegedly taking money from the reception area of a guest house in Accra after she was left alone briefly".

Moments later, the female staff member steps away, leaving the women sitting alone, she sits for a while, them moves towards the front desk.

She is allegedly seen searching through items within the space.

After a short period at the desk, she is seen scanning the area and opening the drawers of the desk looking for valuables.

Meanwhile the management of the guest house has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect.
