Patience Abbah will enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to Zanzibar
Geisha Ghana has officially crowned Mrs Patience Abbah as the first-ever Mama G 2026 in a vibrant and emotional grand finale held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, now Palms by Eagles in Airport City, Accra.
The event marked the culmination of a seven-week nationwide campaign launched during Mother’s Day celebrations, designed to honour women whose everyday acts of care, sacrifice, and influence have positively shaped families and communities across Ghana.
From heartfelt stories to inspiring journeys of resilience, the campaign resonated deeply with the public.
A total of 147 nominations were received across social media platforms, each spotlighting women who quietly uplift others through mentorship, support, and selfless service.
After weeks of public voting and engagement, 10 outstanding finalists emerged to compete for the coveted title.
The grand finale brought together family members, supporters, corporate partners, and guests for a night filled with celebration, emotion, and recognition.
Finalists showcased their stories and impact-driven journeys, culminating in the crowning moment of Mrs Abbah as the inaugural Mama G.
Renowned media personality Gifty Anti graced the event as guest speaker, delivering an inspiring message that encouraged women to continue making meaningful contributions to society, regardless of status or recognition.
Speaking at the event, the Geisha Ghana team explained that the initiative was born out of powerful Mother’s Day conversations and was designed to extend the celebration of motherhood beyond a single day.
The brand emphasised its commitment to recognising not only biological mothers, but all women who embody care, strength, and resilience in their communities.
As part of her reward, Mrs Abbah will enjoy an all-expense-paid trip to Zanzibar, marking a fitting celebration of her inspiring journey. She was nominated by her daughter, Sheila, whose tribute highlighted her mother’s enduring impact and selfless nature.
Organizers have expressed optimism that the Mama G initiative will become an annual celebration, continuing to spotlight unsung women whose everyday actions create lasting change in society.
