Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, is set to be flown abroad for further specialised medical treatment following a reported shooting incident.
According to a report by 3news.com on June 23, 2026, her aide, Dr Emmanuel Y Boakye, made this known in an interview on Akoma 87.9 FM.

“Adwoa has undergone two surgeries and is expected to be flown abroad for further treatment to prevent further damage to her face,” he stated.
The incident is said to have occurred during a violent altercation at the residence of her younger brother, Kwadwo Safo Jnr, on June 21, 2026, where multiple gunshots were allegedly fired at a vehicle linked to the former MP.
A video circulating on social media reportedly shows the moment she was rushed into an ambulance following the attack.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has arrested Kwadwo Safo Jnr (also known as Akofena) and two others, Nana Kwaku Afriyie and Kwadwo Safo Koomson, in connection with the shooting incident.
