The women complained that their living conditions were unbearable
A group of Ghanaian mothers have been captured in viral videos appealing for urgent assistance after becoming stranded in Pretoria, South Africa.
In the footage, about ten mothers, most of whom were carrying young children, were seen at the premises of the Church of Pentecost, Pretoria West, seeking refuge following a xenophobic attack in the country.
The women complained that their living conditions were unbearable and that their children were suffering due to the harsh environment.
Speaking in an interview, some of the mothers claimed their children had fallen seriously ill, with some reportedly experiencing nosebleeds and requiring urgent medical attention and other forms of support.
“We beg you, please, our children are sick. Some are vomiting and we need help please, “One of the mothers said.

“We are begging you. Our children are sick and they cannot sleep at night. The place where they sleep is too hot and they are suffering. Some are bleeding from their noses, so we are pleading with you to come to our aid,” another added.
In the footage, a man was also seen expressing his appreciation to a group of individuals for providing support to them during their difficult situation.
The attacks on Ghanaians and other foreign nationals in South Africa continue as the June 30, 2026, deadline set by anti-immigration groups for all foreigners to leave the country draws near.
