It was a clear penalty. Why didn't the referee contact the VRA when we protested? Anyway,we are on our way to the knockout stage.

  • Nana 3 days ago

England was lucky, it wasn't only a penalty decision their defender would have received a Red Card .Jude Bellingham also shd have been given a Yellow Card on his late tackle on Jerome in the 1st half

  • Burkina 3 days ago

Do you know how much money FIFA gets from England fans? Check the stadium and see how many black stars fans were there compared to England fans.
World Cup is a big business.
The referee deliberately ignored that penalty.

  • Karikakchar 3 days ago

Burkina, you're right. Fifa is just a shame. Anyway GH has kept the record of NEVER loosing a second group game at the WC

  • P Djamgbe 3 days ago

Even England officials (Wayne Rooney, Gabby Logan etc etc) admitted that it was a penalty, and they said they were surprised that it was even checked by VAR.

  • P Djamgbe 3 days ago

    .....it was not even checked.....

There were more English fans because fifa is corrupt. Besides Ghanaian fans had difficulties securing travel visas, fifa was also making sure they awarded more tickets to English and Panama fans than ghana. I'm a Ghanaian Can ...

It wasn’t luck. It was deliberate. England cannot lose against Ghana because it upsets the predetermined plans of FIFA. So the referee, VAR etc connived to deny the Black Stars victory. Simple as that.

  • Ruthan 3 days ago

Wayne Rooney, a former English player also disagreed with the referee he said England escaped with a penalty and a Red Card to Konsa

  • Gonja Mafia 3 days ago

Konsa would not have been a red carded if penalty was awarded. Rather, he will receive a yellow instead. That is the rule.

  • Gonja Ganja 3 days ago

Is that the new rule? Ghana was awarded a penalty kick and Luis Suarez got a red card in 2010. Has Fifa changed the rule since then?

  • KONSA 3 days ago

A lot of konkonsa will be going on long after this world cup because of the stupidity of fifa, the referee and the var manager.
Sports results should not be decided by bribes, race or politics.

Coulda Woulda Shoulda useless QUESTION. Important decisions for African and Asian teams are barely reviewed talk of awarded, many people have NOTICED in other games.

Why is it that bad decisions always go against the smaller nations?

  • Sethoo 3 days ago

There's no fairness in the world that's how it's. Lionel Messi would have been sitting with the fans not playing to get 5 goals bcoz he shd have been given a Red Card in their 1st match for a bad tackle on a defender

  • Achakanapaya 3 days ago

    It was a complete penalty.
You see the white Man is the representative of the devil on Earth.
    Because is a Blackman County.
Can one imagine it was a Ghanian player doing such.

That incident was a clear penalty but the referee ignored. It was officiating against the Black Stars of Ghana

I think the players assumed the referee's whistle was for Prince Adu being off-side, but it was actually for Semenyo after he blocked the ball from entering the England goal.
