It was a clear penalty. Why didn't the referee contact the VRA when we protested? Anyway,we are on our way to the knockout stage.
England was lucky, it wasn't only a penalty decision their defender would have received a Red Card .Jude Bellingham also shd have been given a Yellow Card on his late tackle on Jerome in the 1st half
Do you know how much money FIFA gets from England fans? Check the stadium and see how many black stars fans were there compared to England fans.
World Cup is a big business.
The referee deliberately ignored that penalty.
Burkina, you're right. Fifa is just a shame. Anyway GH has kept the record of NEVER loosing a second group game at the WC
Even England officials (Wayne Rooney, Gabby Logan etc etc) admitted that it was a penalty, and they said they were surprised that it was even checked by VAR.
.....it was not even checked.....
Oh I now understand
There were more English fans because fifa is corrupt. Besides Ghanaian fans had difficulties securing travel visas, fifa was also making sure they awarded more tickets to English and Panama fans than ghana. I'm a Ghanaian Can ...

It wasn’t luck. It was deliberate. England cannot lose against Ghana because it upsets the predetermined plans of FIFA. So the referee, VAR etc connived to deny the Black Stars victory. Simple as that.
Wayne Rooney, a former English player also disagreed with the referee he said England escaped with a penalty and a Red Card to Konsa
Konsa would not have been a red carded if penalty was awarded. Rather, he will receive a yellow instead. That is the rule.
Is that the new rule? Ghana was awarded a penalty kick and Luis Suarez got a red card in 2010. Has Fifa changed the rule since then?
A lot of konkonsa will be going on long after this world cup because of the stupidity of fifa, the referee and the var manager.
Sports results should not be decided by bribes, race or politics.
THE BRITISH PRESS KEEP DEHUMANIZING THOMAS PARTEY FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, WHILE THEY NEVER MENTION ANTOINE SEMENYO WHO SINGLE-HANDEDLY WON THE JUST-ENDED ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP FOR HIS CLUB WITH HIS STYLISH LONE GOAL.

The VAR would have confirmed the penalty reason why the Referee refused to verify.

Coulda Woulda Shoulda useless QUESTION. Important decisions for African and Asian teams are barely reviewed talk of awarded, many people have NOTICED in other games.
Why is it that bad decisions always go against the smaller nations?
There's no fairness in the world that's how it's. Lionel Messi would have been sitting with the fans not playing to get 5 goals bcoz he shd have been given a Red Card in their 1st match for a bad tackle on a defender
It was a complete penalty.
You see the white Man is the representative of the devil on Earth.
Because is a Blackman County.
Can one imagine it was a Ghanian player doing such.
That incident was a clear penalty but the referee ignored. It was officiating against the Black Stars of Ghana
Copy and paste from BBC lol.
Shame on the referee, had it been a black star player what could have been the decision of the referee? Shame, I hope money will not change hands after the match ✋
AFRICAN NATIONS ARE ALL THE TIME ROBBED IN WORLD CUPS. IF IT HAD BEEN THE OTHER WAY ROUND, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN
I REMEMBER 1990. WHEN CAMEROON WAS LEADING ENGLAND BY ONE NIL TEN MINUTES TO FULL TIME, THE REFREE AWARDED 2 PENALTIES TO ENGLAND AND CAMEROON WAS ELIMINATED
If it were to be England, they will force the referee to go and watch how the player was kick at the penalty box

The referee did not want England to be disgraced. Simple.
Very unfair and bias institution..one of the most bias institutions in the world is FIFA..am glad the blackstars humbled England..they are all working against Ghana..even a blind man could see clearly that it was a penalty..t ...

This wouldn't have happened had this wc been organized and played in Germany .
That Adu guy has strength but not as good as people had said. There's a way a good striker would have positioned himself over the ball such that any wrong tackle would result in a clear penalty. Coming on as a sub, no wonder ...

Exactly, there was no reaction, no protest fron the team and the bench, I was very surprised, like the focus was to just get a draw, that was mediocrity.
Yes,it was a penalty and i am surprised VAR did not step in to award it to Ghana. All the commentators after the match agreed that England was lucky to have escaped it.
Our main focus should now be on Croatia. A draw will be ...

This referee Martinez from Ecuador will forever live in shame. He blatantly robbed Ghana because it was England.Where is the FIFA fair play mantra?
Stop making noise about been denied an penalty kick against England. We should have played to win and stop lamenting over not getting an easy way to victory.
The referee and the VAR are all corrupt. They rob Ghana of victory and that is a shame to FIFA
YES. Simply, moments after the match read several BBC commentaries. Even the British people wondered why the referee refused the penalty. Then cautioned today not; another day referee would not pardon that.
I honestly did n ...

The problem with the Ghanaian squad was we don’t protest at all
I think the players assumed the referee's whistle was for Prince Adu being off-side, but it was actually for Semenyo after he blocked the ball from entering the England goal.
