  It seems the GNFS have become first responders to accidents to rescue victims. Will it not be appropriate to have a detachment of the Ambulance service (or EMT) attached to all Fire stations? Otherwise can personnel of the GNFS be trained and equipped with ambulances for emergency health response to accidents?

  In the Developed West, the Fire Service, Police, and Ambulances are all First Responders. Even in Uncle Sam’s country, the Branch of the Military called the Army are First Responders. The Army usually go to wars but on Peacekeeping. They have been trained to go to war but are seldom used for war combat. Anyway, many Ghanaians will be surprised to learn that the Police, the Army and Firefighters in Uncle Sam’s country are trained to give immediate Primary Healthcare to people until the Ambulances which always have trained Nurses or Nursing Assistants in them arrive to take over.
  The Police in Uncle Sam’s country are also trained to handle Fire Cases and Emergency Rescue Services until the Fire and Ambulances arrive to take over.
