There was commotion during a demolition exercise at Pantang Village by the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region to remove structures obstructing waterways in the area.

Members of the Kingdom Palace Church, whose building was demolished, clashed with members of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly task force.

During the exercise, a man who appeared to be the pastor of the church tried to stop members of the task force, claiming to be a member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He could not accept the demolition of the structure, claiming that he had helped the NDC come to power by sacrificing about 32 cattle.

As a member of the church was recording the pastor's remarks, a masked member of the task force allegedly hit him (the person recording the video), which further escalated the situation.

Amid the commotion, the man kept claiming that he had helped the NDC and was suffering for it today.

“I’m recording my video. I’m an NDC member. I help the NDC. I killed 32 cattle. You can ask General Mosquito.

“We are the ones who help the NDC. I go to Mr President's house. I help the NDC. I went to the home of General Mosquito. I sacrificed 32 cattle to help the NDC,” the man is heard ranting.

The members of the task force can be heard saying that they do not care whether the pastor is a member of the NDC or not.

They told him that he could continue recording his video, but he should not take footage of them.
