@Idiot,the oil spillage on Ogoni land in the Rivers State,Nigeria was caused,and is still caused by on-shore oil drilling.You see,the land over there is riverine,just as the state itself is called.So,the oil is drilled not offshore,but right in the rivers and creeks of the state.Once in a while,oil pipelines burst,causing spillage and environmental damage,either by faulty lines,or sabotage! Up till this day,some bad guys do illegal oil bunkering right in their living rooms by drilling the oil and Ferring it out under the cover of darkness! It is their own remix of our Galamsey! You should caress no fears with the Volta basin,Chale.It is offshore,deep in the ocean where no ragamuffin can afford the billions of bucks it takes to drill for oil except oil giants and big players.This is good news for my mother's folks in the VR! We demand answers. If it is galamsey go and arrest Dormaahene now. If not I will advise every locality to tell the government not to exploit any mineral resources from their land. I thought the Constitution says every mineral resource in Ghana belongs to the state. Why is the law applicable in certain areas and not applicable in other areas of the country. So how come somebody has become the law onto himself and doing anything he likes. We've all learnt our lessons . Henceforth every area shd invest in their own mining resources and use it to develop themselves. No more govt!
