'I am NDC now, and I will stay with the umbrella until I die' – Rosemond Obeng

Presidential staffer Rosemond Obeng has stated that her decision to leave the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and join the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was based on conviction rather than personal gain.

Speaking in a video shared by 1957News, the former aide to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia said she remains fully committed to the NDC.

“What I did was to rescue the soul of the country. It is sad that some people think I did it for personal interest,” she said.

She added that her decision to switch allegiance was permanent.

“I am NDC now, and I will continue to stay with the umbrella until I die,” she stated.

Obeng also dismissed suggestions that her move was linked to any arrangement with the governing party.

“What happened was nothing cosmetic. I didn’t cut any deal with anybody. I just spoke my truth,” she said.
