Black man black sense. What is the cost of filling that pothole? Can we cost the involvement of the fire service, hospital cost, handling of the dead, time wasted by other travellers, etc? How long would it have taken the bus to wait for the truck to pass on seeing the pothole by the bus driver? So the driver chose death over 5 seconds death - any sense in this?

Our politicians 'don't see' these potholes because they use big new vehicles with police escort who make sure other road users stop to make them pass. The don't care about potholes damaging their vehicles because maintenance and replacement is borne by the state.Their families travel by air. I pity those who insult and fight for our politicians.
