Is the word 'alleged' not wrongly used here? The is used when one is certain as to what happened. Didn't they hear a gun shut, was someone not arrested, was a gun not retrieved etc etc. Let's use English words appropriately.
I hope by now the shooter has been arrested. He is a suspected armed robber too.
