The Member of Parliament(MP) for Techiman South, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has advised former presidential flagbearer aspirant of the NPP, Kennedy Agyapong to reconsider his approach to internal party matters, saying such a move would be necessary if he intends to remain an active member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on AsaasePa 107.3 FM, Adjei-Mensah Korsah acknowledged Kennedy Agyapong’s longstanding commitment and contributions to the NPP but expressed concern over the growing tensions between him and sections of the party.

“Ken has equally invested so much in the party and believes in it. We never thought there would come a time when party members would rise against him,” he said.

According to the Techiman South MP, many grassroots members are unhappy with Kennedy Agyapong’s recent conduct and public remarks.

“The party members are really angry at Ken Agyapong,” he stated.

Adjei-Mensah Korsah urged the former presidential aspirant to reflect on the current political climate within the NPP and adjust his strategy accordingly.

“Ken has to revise his notes. The NPP loves him as a member, but his actions are becoming too much,” he remarked.

He further noted that with the party focused on reclaiming political power, members are unlikely to tolerate actions they perceive as undermining the party’s interests.

“Because we are currently in search of power, if anyone crosses the NPP, they will double-cross the person. That is how the party atmosphere is right now,” he said.

While expressing regret over the current state of affairs, the MP maintained that self-reflection remains the best path forward for Kennedy Agyapong.

“It pains me that things have degenerated this way, but Ken should engage in self-introspection. If he really wants to remain in the NPP, he has to re-strategize,” he advised.

Adjei-Mensah Korsah also questioned the basis of Kennedy Agyapong’s apparent dissatisfaction with the party.

“What has the NPP done to him to incur such wrath from him? I have spent all my adulthood in the NPP, and we do not have any secrets,” he added.
