Europe brought 16 teams 10 of them were in the knock out stage that is 60 percent. So even Europe need a reduction in number if any thing. South America had 83 percent in the knockout stage after 6 teams. Things have change. those days africa were not doing good but know look at how even the so call top nations strugle to even beat them.
