Ghana's 2-1 loss against Croatia was actually the better option for the team. If Ghana had won or drawn the game, they would have been 2nd in the group, and have faced a more difficult route to the advanced stages of the competition against tougher teams, plus also travel to Canada where Partey would not have been given a visa.

I think people are reading the game wrong. As Ghana had already qualified they experimentally opened up the game, and the team us quite promising, however, instead of building our attack through player to player passes, they should engineer play whereby one pass can skip 2 or 3 players of the opposing team. Fundamentally, they have to methodical, strategic and above all efficient. That is my take but I'm not a coach.

You can't play soccer without creating chances. You have to attack when the opportunity presents itself. Defending for 90 plus minutes is impossible especially at the knockout stage. Sooner or later, someone will make a mistake.
