Member of Parliament for the good people of Damango, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party to admit that the party had some shortfalls while in government.

According to him, it is not for every government to experience shortfalls in their administration of the country.

He says the party should further acknowledge that it is not everything they intended to do as a government that they were successful at doing.

Abu Jinapor was speaking at a TESCON event when he made this known.

“When we were in government, it is important for us to acknowledge and admit that there were some shortfalls, and we should have the courage to admit that. You cannot have a government that does not have shortfalls; it is normal and we should be prepared to acknowledge that.

We should also acknowledge that it is not everything we intended to achieve or do as a government, which we were successful at doing, and which is why Dr Bawumia is committing to a transparent, honest and forthright government by the grace of God when we elect him,” he told TESCON members.

“We should be courageous and bold to accept and defend that our government, the NPP government, both Kufuor and Akufo-Addo, regardless of their expected shortfalls, remain the two periods in Ghanaian history where we saw real transformation and development in Ghana.
