Let's all try to find the causes of this perennial phenomenon and find the solutions to it instead of complaining and blame gaming. We are all part of the problem: roads being built without drainage systems; government officials taking bribes and giving permits for houses to be constructed on water ways; people putting containers on gutters; people throwing rubbish and household waste in gutters; people threatening not to vote for government if their structures are demolished in unauthorized environments.
Let's change our bad attitude and try to bring our minds together to resolve this issue otherwise we will be complaining about the same thing next year in the rainy season. A bad attitude is like a flat tyre, you can't move unless you change it

We also encourage them to build permanent structures in every part of Accra they desire, like the waterways, on the lakes , Rivers, on the drainage systems etc. They can turn the street and drainage into their personal dumpsters.
