Nigel Gaisie is a prophet in Ghana
Prophet Nigel Gaisie has hit back at his critics following backlash over his recent football-related prophecies that failed to materialise.
His comments come after some social media users questioned his prediction that South Africa would be eliminated in the group stage of the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Other Ghanaian prophets who made similar predictions have also come under criticism online.
In a social media post, Nigel Gaisie said people who have never personally experienced prophetic ministry may not fully understand its role.
“If you have not experienced a prophet or the prophetic personally before, you will sit on social media and talk ‘NKWASIASEM’.
"Avail yourself of the opportunity to meet a true prophet of God, then you will appreciate the role and the impact of true prophetism. God is still speaking,” he wrote.
Addressing fellow prophets, he acknowledged that prophetic ministry often attracts criticism and encouraged them to remain focused.
“To you, the prophet, know that the prophetic comes with heavy attacks and hate, but be courageous.
“Let the Holy Spirit lead you always. Don't be intimidated by their hate, criticism, and human interests. Reveal Jesus and keep speaking the mind of Jesus Christ only,” he stated.
Nigel Gaisie also said prophetic messages are not intended for everyone.
“Not all are called unto you. Not all will understand spiritual works and protocols. Those who are called to you will take heed to your prophetic inspirations,” he added.
He further expressed the view that Ghana does not always appreciate its prophets.
“Ghana, a nation that destroys its prophets and calls others who are not prophets, prophets,” he wrote, before encouraging people to learn more about prophetic ministry.
“Leave the prophets alone to do their work,” he concluded.
