Popular UCC student and content creator dies

The family of popular University of Cape Coast (UCC) student and comic content creator, Enoch Eshun, popularly known as Enokay, has confirmed his death following a brief illness.

Speaking about the circumstances leading to his death in a video shared on X by Sikaofficial on June 30, 2026, his mother said Enoch, who was aged 20, sustained injuries after he was accidentally pushed by another student while returning from lectures, causing him to fall.

She explained that he was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors carried out several examinations, including X-rays, and placed him on treatment.

"Enokay has sadly passed away, and the reports of his passing are true. Enokay went for lectures one time, and on his return, he was pushed by someone, which caused him to fall. He was rushed to the hospital and was receiving treatment,” she narrated.

According to the grieving mother, the medical team treated him and later discharged him after his condition improved.

She said he continued recovering at home and appeared to be doing well.

"The doctors conducted X-ray examination of him, among other tests, and he was discharged home. He responded well to treatment and got better,” she said.

She further disclosed that Enoch's condition suddenly worsened on Friday, June 25, 2026, after he complained of dizziness.

According to her, she advised him to get some rest, but when he woke up, he said he was seeing stars whenever he closed his eyes.

His mother said the situation became more serious later that evening when he began experiencing both dizziness and stomach pains.

She said the family rushed him to the hospital, where nurses attended to him but sadly confirmed that he had died.

"Later in the evening, he complained of dizziness and stomachache, so he was taken to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, the nurses who checked on him pronounced him dead. So, the news of his passing is true,” she added.

Enokay, as he was affectionately called, had been living with a rare medical condition known as Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) for several years.

He first came into the public spotlight after granting an interview to Zion Felix, where he shared the challenges of living with the condition, which prevented him from sitting or bending.

At the time, the 19-year-old first-year student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) explained that he had been battling the condition for about five years.

He said he could neither sit nor bend and had to spend his days either standing or lying down.
