Last Sunday's through Monday rains were very heavy and according to the Meteo it was die to the slow movements of the clouds and also the heavy laden rain clouds. The normal heavy rains are around 20-30mm. Last Sunday's rains were in excess of 100mm
I am sure the Minority leader saw the garbage which was sailing through the Alajo storm drains. Until we as citizens and especially politocians champion responsible behaviours and stop this opportunistic political comments, we will remain in our backwardness

The Ataala section on the N1 Highway between Old Weija Barrier to West Hill continue to experience overtopping. The road is completely broken causing unbearable congestion delay unbifitting for an Ecowas highway.There is currently a storm water drain under construction since 2020/2021 but the irony is, the storm water drain appears not to collect flood waters from the side channels allowing the side running water and silt to oveetoo and close the Kasoa- Accra direction anytime it rains. The Hydro Department and the implementing agency must explain.As we speak all those properties behind Ataala have been abandoned and are desolate. Owners investments have gone down the drain. Over twenty years overtopping at the Ataala section at the New Weija SCC Junction cannot be solved. When shall this continue to last.
