BECE 2026: Here is when WAEC expects to release results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results are expected to be released on or before July 15, 2026.

According to a report by adomonline.com on Thursday, July 2, 2026, WAEC's Head of Public Relations, John Kapi, said the marking of all BECE scripts has been completed.

Kapi assured candidates, parents and other stakeholders that efforts are being made to complete the process within the expected timeline.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the results will be officially released on or before July 15, 2026," Kapi said.

According to him, the examination body is currently carrying out final quality assurance and verification processes to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the results before they are released.

The release of the results is expected to bring relief to thousands of candidates nationwide, as their performance will determine their placement in senior high schools.
