Arhin William, also known as (Wang Weimin) in Chinese, a Ghanaian master's graduate from the 2026 cohort at Shenyang Normal University in Liaoning Province, northeast China, amazed the audience with his flawless Chinese speech during the university's graduation ceremony.
The graduate, who majored in Chinese International Education and was a recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship, served as the International Students' Representative for the 2026 batch.
Before beginning his address, Arhin sang a song in Chinese, drawing loud cheers and applause from the audience. He then proceeded to deliver his speech entirely in fluent Chinese.
William, who pursued a Master of Arts degree in Chinese International Education from 2023 to 2026, used his speech to highlight how football unites people and brings the world closer together.

The graduation ceremony saw a total of 6,699 students complete their studies, comprising 5,212 undergraduate students, 1,470 master's students and 17 international students.
Arhin William previously served as Vice President of the Chinese Students Association of Ghana (CHISAG) at the University of Ghana, Legon, during the 2019/2020 academic year.
