▪︎ Mahama and his NDC promised publicly, during their political campaign, that Gertrude Araba Torkornoo would be removed from her position as Chief Justice and from the bench on the Supreme Court
▪︎ True to their word, they used the same petition which Akufo-Addo had previously rejected to establish the case of prima facie against Araba Torkornoo
▪︎ Faster than the speed of light, Araba Torkornoo was removed from the Office of the Chief Justice and from the Bench of the Supreme Court and impliedly she can't practise law in Ghana

What kind of Legal practice is this by a senior advocate, raising appeal grounds when there is no appeal court to hear those grounds. The Ecowas decision is not appealable.

The Ecowas court and other international courts are there for cases where the subject has no legal system or so discredited that it cannot dispense justice. Where a country has credible legal institutions and the laws and procedures have been complied with to arrive at a decision the international courts would not retrial those cases again.

The Ghanaian court system was found credible, it continued to be credible after the dismissal of the former CJ. It was credible not because of the presence on CJ Torkornoo alone. The laws of the land and proceredures were complied with in the dismissal of the former CJ. It is finished.

Why can't she let go and enjoy her retirement with her grand children? All these lawyers are not very much concerned about her situation, but to them it is an avenue of fleecing her. I am convinced, she's been abandoned by her immediate family, who would rather prefer that she let go of her fight for restitution.
