Founder and General Overseer of End Time Restoration Ministry, Apostle Gabriel Chris-Levit Dziwornu, has attributed the recent deadly floods that affected parts of the country to what he describes as spiritual forces.

Speaking during a live social media broadcast monitored by GhanaWeb on July 6, 2026, he acknowledged that although human activity such as construction on waterways can lead to flooding, the June 29 floods were not solely the result of natural rainfall patterns, but were influenced by “spiritual forces” targeting human lives ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“We are not disputing the fact that people are building on waterways, but we are telling you what you can’t see… God is revealing to us what is going on, so the nation has to rise up in prayer,” he said.

He further warned that unless intensified prayer is undertaken, more flooding incidents could occur, describing the rainfall as “not normal” and suggesting it carried a spiritual dimension.

“The rains that are coming are not normal rains… they are demonic projections into the rains to claim lives for the purposes of a sacrifice because of the 2028 elections", he said.

Apostle Dziwornu also made reference to recent national spiritual interventions, including the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, noting that it helped reduce the impact of further disaster.

He stated that he was not seeking to cause panic but urged authorities to declare special days of prayer to avert what he described as “impending disaster.”

"There are more disasters on the way, we must rise up in prayer that any demonic hand influencing things be restrained by God because someone wants to be President and they want to claim human lives for sacrifices; may the lord intervene", he added.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Organisation has confirmed that 34 people have died nationwide following the devastating floods recorded on Monday, June 29, 2026.

The floods caused widespread destruction in several communities, with authorities continuing assessments and emergency response efforts.
