Colombia captain James Rodriguez and coach Carlos Queiroz
Former Black Stars head coach, Carlos Queiroz, has stated that he harbors no grudge against any Colombian player from his time as their manager.
Queiroz guided Colombia to the quarter-finals of the 2019 Copa América before their campaign ended in a penalty shootout against Chile.
His tenure came to an end the following year after heavy World Cup qualifying defeats to Uruguay and Ecuador.

Addressing reports about his supposed lack of commitment and bond with the players, the Portuguese coach dismissed the claims, stressing that there is no bad blood between them.
He emphasised that he genuinely enjoyed his time with the players and staff, and maintains a good relationship with the team.
When asked about claims that some Colombia players had disagreed with his decisions, he responded,
"I don’t have that view that you do. I can say that I truly enjoyed and loved my work with the Colombian team."
The Black Stars lost 1-0 to Colombia in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup following unimpressive performances from the team.
Carlos Queiroz announced his departure after the elimination.
He had been contracted to lead the team to the tournament, with his future to be decided afterward.
