Founder of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro
The Founder of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has called for the dissolution of the current Ghana Football Association (GFA) administration to pave the way for success for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars were eliminated in the Round of 32 after losing 1-0 to Colombia, a disappointing result for fans as Ghana exited the World Cup.
The prophet expressed surprise at the team’s performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, attributing it to poor preparation and planning by the GFA.

He cited how tournament winners plan for longevity, invest heavily in recruitment and infrastructure, and produce quality players capable of competing at the global level.
Prophet Oduro stated that until the GFA is dissolved, the national team will continue to suffer disappointment and failure.
"The football tournament, who didn’t know that we wouldn’t go far… we all know what is wrong. Number one, our FA is a problem. If the FA officials remain, Ghana will continue losing; they need to be dissolved. I am telling them, do something about it or else they will continue to disgrace us. Who brought these players?
"Those who won the World Cup started planning 10/15 years ago and invested in what they are doing. They didn’t just call people to show up; it was rehearsals, training, and investment," he told his congregants during church service.
The clergyman further fumed that the lack of local players in the national team does not augur well for Ghanaian football, citing poor scouting and recruitment.
"The fact that the only local player in the team is Asare is a failure on their part. There are talents in all the 16 regions of Ghana. There are people playing at Fadama who can beat this Black Stars team," he added.
