Just referring to the team as representing a European country is not offensive to me. After the 2018 World Cup, Trevor Noah said "Africa has won the World Cup"because of France's African-ancestry players.

If she had said "An African team..." in the context of a black, poor, diseased, underdeveloped place, then that's something we can absorb with a grain of salt.
