Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan launched a furious attack on the officiating officials after his side's heartbreaking 3-2 defeat to Argentina, declaring he will not watch another match at the FIFA World Cup because he believes "there is no justice in it."

Egypt looked on course for a famous victory after racing into a 2-0 lead, only for Argentina to produce a dramatic late comeback and book their place in the quarter-finals.

A visibly frustrated Hassan insisted the result was influenced by factors beyond his team's control, despite believing Egypt had been the better side throughout the contest.

"It is clear the pressure put on the referee before the match by the Argentine side succeeded, because they objected to the referee, bringing up France, and the France national team," Hassan said during his post-match press conference.

The Egypt coach suggested his players had been punished despite doing everything right on the pitch.

"I want to say, in life, anyone who does things the right way will face hardship. As long as you walk the right path, you will suffer. We walked the right path, we suffered, and we were harmed by external factors,” he said.

Hassan went on to claim Argentina did not deserve to progress and announced he would boycott the remainder of the tournament in protest.

"Argentina's victory is entirely undeserved. And I promise you, once I return today, I will not watch football in this World Cup at all, because there is no justice in it. My personal protest is that I will not watch this World Cup again. When I get back home and back to our country, I am not watching it,” he added.

Hassan's comments come amid growing anger from the Egyptian Football Association, which has since submitted a formal complaint to FIFA over the refereeing and VAR decisions during the Round of 16 clash.
