Ghana has also earned four silver medals. Janet Darkoa finished second in the Under-20 women's 100 metres, while Christiana Eghan claimed silver in the Under-18 women's triple jump with a leap of 12.05 metres, despite competing against a headwind.
The Under-20 women's 4x100 metres relay team also won silver, with Ghana's Under-20 men's 4x100 metres relay team matching that achievement.
Although Aishatu Jaffar and Adelaide Fosuah narrowly missed out on the podium after placing fourth and fifth, respectively, in the Under-18 women's 100 metres, their performances contributed to another encouraging outing for Team Ghana.
