I think the government should fire him and not wait to resign. Even should FIFA ban ghana because of that, we can use that period to rebuild and rebrand Ghana soccer. There should be an Equity Audit to find out what happened since he took over as FA boss. Disgraceful.

The real issue is the GFA. Dissolve the GFA—and don't stop there. There must be a new constitution or a strict set of rules governing the GFA President and Executive Committee members. The first and most important rule should be that the GFA President must have absolutely no conflict of interest. That means the President should not be a player agent or manager, a scout, a club owner, or have any financial interest in player transfers or selections. They should not receive shares, commissions, or any other benefits tied to players being called up or transferred. Until football administration is free from conflicts of interest, meaningful progress will remain.

Majority of critics in Ghana are just like pests, they do not and cannot distinquish between illogical and idiotic criticism for the sake of mouthing off and constructive criticism with facts and potential solutions to the problem the same way pests destroy anything they percieve as source of food.

Here is a suggestion: How about making a potential Ghana's team from a selection of players who reside in Ghana and play in the Ghanaian football league? Because they are here in Ghana, practicing as a team, frequently, will allow players to know weaknesses and strength of each player on the team, they will know from gesters of each player where a ball is going to be placed in the pass and etc.

Because of practicing together for long periods of time, there will be cohesion the same way football teams in Ghana's league know the strengths and weaknesses of players and teams in the Ghana league. We should not forget that the coaching and style of play of footballers brought in from outside Ghana's league system are players who cannot easily and naturally forgo what they know and use to adapt to the coaching and playing style of Ghana players here at home.

Trying to blend skills of mostly European league players with those of home grown players can be difficult no matter hard one tries. Furthermore, there are European players who are always going to believe in their own skills than assimilate into the preferred coaching style in Ghana. After all it is because we act desperate in persuit of their services that some may feel indispensable.

The Council of State and the National House of Chiefs must also weigh in to demand immediate reforms at the GFA. Ghana has all the football talents to win the World Cup if the GFA is reformed. Don’t be surprised if England wins the World Cup tournament this year eventhough we (almost) beat them. The selflessness and greediness at the GFA have killed our game at the top level. Can anyone tells us why the Sports Minister hasn’t spoken up about our recent failures or he doesn’t “see” the rot at the GFA? Is he not compromised? Why are we doing this to ourselves as a nation? Why are few people using the GFA as a personal property and milking it dry without any remorse? So sad!!

Note, there are powerful political figures involved. The national sports authority, as it is presently constituted will not do. The government can decide to set up an independent body to administer the affairs of all national teams,both male and female, and leave the gfa to do whatever they say they are doing on the local scene. An executive order with broad stake holder consultations can effect this . Then we would not have flouted any Fifa rules.

Pls let no one kid themselves that the GFA is untouchable. We need to think outside the box and mount great public pressure for changes at the GFA. Let’s hit on all cylinders: NUGS, Parliamentary debates, changes at the Ministry for Sports, Council of State to debate way forward, NDPC chipping in with a sports plan for the nation, National House of Chiefs to join the debate for reforms at GFA etc.
