Ghana simply lacks maintenance culture. This is a historical landmark that could have been properly preserved over the years instead of demolishing it and constructing a new building. What is the guarantee that a new building will be maintained. And hopefully the new edifice does not look like an ugly Chinese-constructed four square building. Most of which in Ghana look like secondary school buildings.

Go to such schools and you shall be surprised at the kind of furniture that Teachers and students still use. Some are as old as to the Nkrumah days. And in the North where there was free education since the Colonial Era, students still go to school in some places and sit on Raffia Mats. They still don’t have writing tables and desks but are able to go on Pilgrimages to Mecca, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Does that make sense?

He borrowed 3 million pounds to build Tarkoradi Harbour.
Useless Akufo Addo and his corrupt side kick Ofori Atta borrowed over 11 billion dollars on our behalf in 8 years and could not even build one functioning schoo, university, collegel or hospital from scratch. in Ghana.
