My understanding is that when a case is before the courts, people are generally not supposed to discuss it publicly or try to influence the judges. However, does the same apply when it comes to discussing constitutional issues or the interpretation of the Constitution? Are members of the public allowed to debate and express their views on such matters while they are being considered?

I'm genuinely asking because I don't know, and I'd appreciate any clarification or education on this topic.
