MIIF joins La Dade-Kotopon clean-up exercise

The Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) has joined residents and stakeholders in the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality for a major clean-up exercise aimed at improving sanitation and promoting a healthier environment.

The exercise, led by MIIF Chief Executive Officer, Justina Nelson, saw staff and management of the Fund clearing choked drains, cutting overgrown bushes and cleaning streets across parts of the municipality.

Despite the rainy conditions, the MIIF team spent more than three hours supporting efforts to restore cleanliness within the community.

As part of its contribution to the initiative, MIIF donated sanitation tools and equipment to the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly to enhance its sanitation activities and strengthen efforts to keep the area clean.

Nelson and the MIIF team emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in addressing sanitation challenges, noting that cleaner communities require the active participation of individuals, institutions and local authorities.

The exercise forms part of broader national efforts to improve environmental sanitation following recent flooding incidents and encourage citizens and organisations to take responsibility for maintaining clean surroundings.

MIIF said it remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote safer, healthier and more sustainable communities across Ghana.
