Government should reduce rate of interest in purchasing T-BILLS to control cost of borrowing and also reduce interest rate on loans given out to businesses to enable growth in economic activities, the lower interest rate the more businesses would borrow from the banks to produce more and create jobs.T- bills in Ghana are both INELASTIC in supply and demand therefore if the peg it's T-bill interest rate on borrowing at 5% investors would still have no choice or alternatives but to still purchase because they know that the risk losing their investment capital is zero rather than alternative investment where there are risk of uncertainties ie floods ,global recession, wars ,human errors ,bad management and sale ,floods and other natural events which may contribute to loss of their capital investments.ln UK interest rate on long time investment ie ISA at the bank is 3.5% for less than £100000 per year whilst over £100000 attracts 5% interest payments .In country like Ghana where financial and economic growth have stagnant for a while interest rate on T- BILLS for a year should not exceed 5% because of government and BOG monopoly in supply and demand of T-BILLS sale in ghana. The government and BOG should not panic and peg interest rate on higher rate above 5% ,in doing that cost of payments of interest on investment would reduce and also reduce interest rates on loans given out to businesses at the bank .
