Has it been the policy of governments to train more lawyers? Do we need this huge number of lawyers to create the needed industrilisation and job creation? Is it the prestige that comes with that noble profession that's why parents are pushing their wards through law school? What is the policy of this government? The direction of our education is doesn't meet our industilisation aspirations as a country. For example, we've found lithium in and other real earth minerals. What are we doing to create top-level and mid-level skilled labour to harness this great resource. The whole world is moving towards green energy now. Our energies would pay off if we spend money training ourselves from mining, processing and other downstream processes like lithium battery technologies. China did that and have successfully created a whole chain of businesses and jobs from anything that uses batteries but our politicians are busily grabbing the little pecks they're getting from these investors and forgetting about the masses. Have we learnt anything at all from our slavery experience when only the merchants benefited? Are we gonna lose this opportunity too. Why train lawyers at the expense of technicians and engineers? It's difficult to comprehend the kind of leadership we have in this country or maybe they do not qualify to be in their seat.
