Not true. It's rather the greed and insatiable desire of African political leaders to manipulate their countries constitutions to assist them to cling on to power that contributing immensely to to the erosion of democracy. All over the continent, African leaders are using their party goons in Parliament to extend the term of in office of Presidents. Here in Ghana, the President is hallucinating about changing the Presidential term in office from four years to five years while some sycophants are trying deviously to convince the Ghana Supreme Court with a demented argument to support a third term for the Ghana President. Then too is the arbitrary arrests of political opponents across the continent, something that clearly smacks in the face of democracy.
