The fact that Latin American teams with the exception of Brazil, play dirty and rough, characterized by hard tackling stems from deeply rooted cultural, tactical and environmental differences in their footballing philosophy. I remember when I played club football in Nqe Orleans, most of the teams in the league comprised players from Latin American countries. The players were rough and brutal in their tackling and never gave an inch and this is indicative how their national teams play.

Yeah, England made a mistake. They played defensive too much after the 1st goal. Instead of going for more goals, they protected their only goal, allowing Argentina to mount untold pressure on them. After the equalizer, that is when they opened up, allowing Argentina to find their way to score the 2nd goal. It was a tactical mistake on the part of the coach and his technical team.
