What's so special about the world cup? I expected the president to talk about preparation for the next AFCON and not the world cup. You prepare adequately for the battles you can win not the ones you can't. Ghana couldn't qualify for the last AFCON, which is so embarrassing. These are some of the issues that need to be fixed. In concluding, I quote a line from one of Regi Rocktone's songs: "Forget the world cup and check out your condition". It's time to focus on improving the economic situation in the country. There are no jobs, workers are underpaid, road transport is unsafe due to poor roads and unqualified vehicles/drivers, insecurity, corruption. If I was the president football would not be my priority right now.

He only came to take our monies when we've already qualified for the world cup which was achieved by a Ghanaian coach in the person of Otto Addo. Carlos Quieroz would not have qualified Ghana for the world cup at third in the group was not an achievement. Because Otto Addo could have easily achieved this milestone at a 48 team world cup where most 3rd place teams qualified out of the group. Some even with 2 points. And this buffon Mahama is praising this mercenary coach all because he is white. I don't understand why northerners have such inferiority complex.

Sorry, Ghanaians love their own. That is why they gave the job to Otto a SECOND TIME, even after he FLOPPED in his first WC in Qatar, and then disrespectfully quit on Ghanaians after Qatar. Prior to this 2026 World Cup, Otto was losing by 5 goals to Austria, 2 to Germany, etc. Otto told the whole nation we had no right full back while Senaya, a bonafide option sat on his bench. Queiroz comes on and in under 1 month solves the problem. He also finds a way to make the Ghana defense stronger even when the likes of Salisu and Djiku were out injured. If we had Otto, we would have disgracefully lost by 6-0 against England. Queiroz is not perfect long-term, but definitely an improvement over Otto, at least in defense. My question on Queiroz will be on his attacking tactics but we await to see.
