Of course, critics are within their rights to criticize based on principle and Prez Mahama's promise to discontinue post retirement contracts. However, some of these state institutions are sensitive and have experienced much 'turbulence' over the years. If we have now found the men (and women),, albeit 'overaged', who are turning the situation around, why not invoke the law of "in every rule there is an exception". TOR is one institution whose current head should be maintained even if he becomes 'overage'. We all know the history of TOR, especially under Nana, the Mother Serpe.... sorry oo. They even managed to create the impression that TOR was a hopeless case in respect of its core business or refining crude oil.

Very experienced professionals who have saved a lot of money from huge salaries are even afraid to quit and go start businesses but politicians will tell fresh graduates in their 20s with no savings or experience to start business instead of creating them jobs.

I believe by age 50 a worker should be forced to retire and be given support by government to start their company instead of clinging to their jobs till when they are over 60 and 70 years. They have the networks and experience succeed. This will create vacancies in government and private sector as well as more educated millionaires

Akufo Addo in opposition promised ghanaians to probe Mahamas malpractice,what followed after winning power, first move by Akufo Addo was to invite all his predecessors just to assure them that none of them was going to be questioned
Akufo Addo even became close friend of Jerry Rawlings
Ghanaians fought Jerry's tyranny and rule of terror with tears and blood for the democracy we are enjoying today. My advice to both NPP and NDC is that they have to examine their moves else they fertilizing the fields for a military takeover which might even be more violent than what happened on June 4th 1979. The writer may want to find out about the changes he has brought in ECG and the power sector at large. IPPs are being paid, gas is being paid for. No more threats of plant shutdowns.
