Well done Ghana Police!!! We support you for carrying out this exercise. Those arrested should be prosecuted and fined or even jailed for violating the law.
What is 300-600 Cedis fine for someone driving V8 car? They should pay thousands of Cedis or face a jail sentence.
What about the improvise money carrying vans? They behave as if the road is made for them.

Two-thirds of those vehicles will go scot-free after their owners have settled the Police. In case you doubt what I said, check from the owners and at the MTTDs
The laws are clear on who can use sirens. Seizure is NOT the answer, SEIZURE AND HEAVY FINES INCLUDING IMPRISONMENT will curb this abuse.

The fines should act as a deterrent. 2000 to 4000 is appropriate. Same as other places in the world

We must blame the police for failing to enforce the law. They have known about this problem for years and I wonder why they would not enforce the law.
Good job! Please add motorbike checks. Some have "blinding flashing" lights that put other road users, both pedestrians and motorists at risk.

The focus should also be on the sales points. Sellers should be asked to demand special permits from the MTTU/Road Safety Commission
Meanwhile okada and tricycles are free to flout traffic rules with impunity

Can the police also direct their attention to the most "tro-tro vehicles without tail lights and smoking engine vehicles on the roads and streets of the country especially tro-tro vehicles in Accra?
