I reject in the strongest term, the call for Ghana to repeal those constitutional provisions. This is due to the unrefined excessive and unguarded unprintables that we see on the electronic media space. Nobody is free speach. Never. But it's worrying to see that your advocates has never for once come with measures to encourage responsibleness in our social media space. Besides, most of these uncultured social media misfits do so to benefit from such despicable utterances. Some even financially. Culturally, the Ghanaian is raised to be courageous and decent. Not condoning utterances extremely unpleasant, cruel, or evil, to the point of arousing strong feelings of moral indignation and contempt. So rather than advocating the opening of the floodgates for such social media misfits freely denigrate their fellow Ghanaians, why can't a lawyer and legislature of your sort advocate for accountability and responsible discuss to help sanitise the social media space which is getting out of hand under your watch.

Afenyo M is saying here that "the minority does not support irresponsible speech or publication but is opposed to custodial sentencing".I don't recollect the NPP Parliamentarians or sympathisers saying same when the Montie 3 were sentenced to 4 months in jail for a statement made on radio threatening to kill judges in 2016, infact they even said the judges were too lenient and it was used to campaign against the then President John Daramani Mahama.Is it the case now that, because Camilla Alhassan is an NPP sympathiser if not a card bearing member the NPP is opposing custodial sentencing. The hypocrisy of Afenyo Markin and the NPP stinks to the high heavens.
